For all those who are in a dark place – here is some puffin love for you.
This is the puffin love story I heard ( and witnessed) on my last visit to the Great Saltee 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend!

The colors are magnificent dear Inese, they don’t know it but they have wonderful portraits of their affections to seen around the world.
Thank you Francis! The colors depend on where the puffins sit. It is why I have two kinds of puffin pictures, very different in color 🙂 I stay on the island from 12.00 to 16.00, and the sun is in a certain position at that time. There are more other factors too. Have to be lucky to catch the right light 🙂
A very careful approach. Thank you, Inese. I will take it in account when I’ll visit similar sceneries in our coast ^_^
🙂
I love those puffins and remember a poem which has them in my childhood poetry anthology. . .
Hugs and smiles sent to you for sharing this very special and unique excursion with us, Inese. xo ❤️
Thank you Robin! Glad you found something special in my blog 🙂 You will also like my next blog that I have scheduled for September 8 :). I myself will be away on holidays ❤
I’m so glad you have special family holidays planned. I enjoy all the different wonders you capture. 💐
I just have cut back on my time to blog. It is really helping me to have time with family and for myself to relax, too.
Enjoy and “be in the moments,” Inese. ❤️
Thank you Robin! First things first 🙂 ❤
Indeed! First comes Family 💞 and Faith. 🕊️
Then your photography which is truly a Gift, Inese. 📷 Then your friends who love your blogging with fabulous photos. ❤️
Thank you Robin! Love and blessings to you and your dear ones ❤
How did I miss this beautiful post? Inese, I adore puffins, and these photos are of exceptional clarity and quality 🙂
Thank you Sarah! I had plenty of time to visit with puffins as I didn’t move around the island much this year. I sat there and they didn’t mind me 🙂
Such stunning photos, Inese. You have captured these gorgeous birds perfectly and their antics make me want to say ‘aah…’ Fabulous setting, too.
Thank you Millie! 🙂 It felt like they shared their personal life with me. Didn’t mind me sitting there for hours.
Awww so adorable photos!!! You are amazing!!! I could stare at those guys for hours!
Thank you! 🙂 If our Earth had to choose a human and a wild species to represent the planet, my choice would be the Irwin family and a puffin 😀
I’m always puffin, I put is down to age – loved the pics :- o)
Thank you! Who wouldn’t love a puffin, right? 🙂
awesome photos )
Thank you Leyla! 🙂
Wow! Loved these pictures ❤
Thank you 🙂
Oh how beautiful! Love the delicate little blooms that frame the puffins, too. 🙂 xxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you! Yes, I was lucky to capture the blooms as I came to the island earlier in summer than I usually do xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Gorgeous photos!
Thank you! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful post! I just love, adore Puffins!!!
I used to get email notices of your posts, but that has fallen off. I have signed up again!
Thank you Resa. I have been away a good couple of months. Getting back, but slowly. We have the mural festival soon, then I will start linking to your blog 🙂
Eee! Mural season!!!
Yes, September. I will be away, but hope they won’t disappear.
These ones are extremely cute, dear Inese. 🖤🐧 I have seen penguins in Patagonia, years ago…. but never puffins (I would join Cindy above… I don’t think we have puffins over here either) …
Beautiful post! … sending love and best wishes 😘
Thank you! 🙂 You might have a different kind of puffins, but this is Atlantic one and they live only in the northern hemisphere. Penguins are cool too xx
Precious.
Thank you Michele!
I’m just in love with these wonderful pictures ❤
Thank you 🙂
They look gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
feeling puffin
love, all over 🙂
Glad you feeling good around my puffins 🙂
Happy to see you back Inese and your photos are as beautiful as ever // Much Love xx
Thank you! Thought I needed something spectacular for my first post 🙂
You surely are the Puffin Whisperer, my lovely friend! Your photos are exquisite. So ecstatic to welcome you back! Missed you much. 💝
Thank you Rose ❤
Marvellous work! The Atlantic Puffin is my Province’s official bird.
Great choice!
When I watched the Star Wars The Last Jedi movie and saw the Porgs, all I could think about were your beautiful pix of them. Recognized them immediately. Loved you images and good to have you back!
Syd, thank you! 🙂 There is another puffin colony on Skellig Michael where the filming took place. I secretly hoped they would include the puffins in the movie – and why not – but well, it probably didn’t work out, and the Porgs are cute with their puffin wings, anyway 🙂
