It has been a year

tree

My silence lasted too long. I have been writing this and that though… And taking pictures too. For the future. I still cannot upload them successfully to the Media folder of my dashboard most of the time, and I probably never will. But I cannot just leave a blog I was working on a whole year.

It is a year, yes. I feel so humbled thinking of all the friendship and support you have given me, dear blogger friends. It has been a wonderful year with you. I admire and love you.

I don’t feel well today, to be honest. I forget to smile.  I worry about everything that has been happening in the world lately. It breaks my heart that the  evil seems to be taking over.  Is it taking over?

We live in a murky world of half-truth. How to navigate so that we never leave the safe half? How to beacon the others ?

I hope you all stay safe.

inesemjphotographyHave a peaceful weekend!

  1. What a wonderful place you have created here! I see why your readers and admirers miss you!

You are a natural at creating images that speak, and your creative approach to everything you do overflows into such lovely results!

I found myself wandering around your blog today for some time. There is much to admire here, and you clearly have the soul of an artist, with a formidable talent for your endeavors.

It’s very easy to look out into the world in which we all live and to observe the troubles we see in it. If you do not see what is wrong with the world you are simply not paying attention. We must not turn away from what is wrong, and whenever we can, in whatever way we can, we must attempt to mitigate what is wrong with what we know to be right.

No single one of us can save the entire world, but every one of us can lend a hand to assist those whose paths we cross and whose paths cross with ours, and when we see an opportunity to join with others who are also trying to mitigate what is wrong, if we are able, contributing our efforts to that cause can make a huge difference in the outcome of any circumstance.

You are bringing light and beauty into this world with your photography, and from reading the comments of your visitors here, there can be no doubt that you are making a positive difference in this world.

Keep it going! Thank you for your kind attention to my blog.

    With much admiration…..John H.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment, John. You and all my blogger friends are the force that makes a difference. Each of us does their part. I know that my part is very small, but it is offered with love and compassion, and a smile 🙂 Thank you again! Your blog makes a difference!
My best and warmest wishes – Inese

  2. Good to read your newest post dear Inese… And congratulations on the blog anniversary… You have done so remarkably well… I hope that you keep it up! 😀 You are right, awful things are happening… And one after the other… The last global incident in Kenya was so sad… I do believe though that God will lead us through the correct pathway… And anyone can identify Him with his/her own God… I have hope in Mankind, regardless of anything…
Sending love and I hope you have a beautiful Easter Day! Aquileana ⭐

    1. Thank you dear friend! You are right – Africa of all the places… My heart goes out to the innocent victims. Just a couple of month ago I had a conversation with an African friend and she just opened my eyes to the depth of problems, particularly the racism between the African nations. I was stunned.
Hugs and best wishes to you!

  3. Welcome back Inese. I too had a break recently – an unexpected one – and it can be difficult to get back into it, but I’ve so enjoyed your words and photos you would sincerely be missed if you gave up, so please don’t 🙂

    1. Andrea – thank you so much for your kind words! Hope the reason for the unexpected break wasn’t anything serious. For me, it was just some sort of technical issues I am having in my account. I have been a year in blogging so far, and don’t want to give up as easy :). Thank you again! Love and hugs!

  4. I am sure we could list so much that is wrong with our world and yet, I remind myself there is much more that is good. It’s difficult to be positive at all times, for sure. Those huge corporations seem to be problematic, so I try to spend my time and money elsewhere. Remember how the boycott of S. Africa worked, it started as individuals not buying and became international. No one could defend apartheid once it was held up to the light. There is some reason for hope.

    1. Sure there is hope. I know so many awesome people – young people, very talented and hard working. I agree with you that if people are united for good, they succeed. The problem lies in alienation.

  5. Welcome back. Maybe you can try to save your picture in JPEG format ? If you don’t have any image software, don’t worry. You can easily do it with power point. You copy/paste your picture on a slide of power point, once it’s done, right click on it and “save as an image”. You can chose the format you want 🙂 If you already have an image software, maybe you can reduce the size of the image before uploading it (not more than 1 mb). Have you also checked the storage avalaible on your account ? Maybe you’ve reached the limit ?

They are still good things, but they are always shadowed by bad ones. Because bad ones are commercial, it makes people want to buy newspapers.

    1. Thank you! I agree with you that the bad things are commercial. It is exactly the matter…
The problems are temporary, and I am in touch with the WP team. Everything is going to be all right 🙂
