This is one of my favorite Christmas videos. Some of you may have heard of Mike Masse or even attended his show.
I am wishing everyone a wonderful and joyous Christmas, but except for this video my blog post is not going to be festive. Well, it is not technically my post as I am reblogging an article that was written in December 2012. The Gift of Death.

There’s nothing they need, nothing they don’t own already, nothing they even want. So you buy them a solar-powered waving queen; a belly button brush; a silver-plated ice cream tub holder; a “hilarious” inflatable zimmer frame; a confection of plastic and electronics called Terry the Swearing Turtle; or – and somehow I find this significant – a Scratch Off World wall map.
They seem amusing on the first day of Christmas, daft on the second, embarrassing on the third. By the twelfth they’re in landfill. For thirty seconds of dubious entertainment, or a hedonic stimulus that lasts no longer than a nicotine hit, we commission the use of materials whose impacts will ramify for generations.

Many happy returns! Love and best wishes for 2018! ❤
My iPad wouldn’t cooperate enough to play your video 😟 but I read the article. So true. I’ve got Christmas down to a minimum now and avoid buying junk or excess packaging (well, not too much – there are limits to how much bah humbug I can exude).
Thank you so much, Anabel! I sort of know about all of this, as any of us does, but when I read this article last year I literally felt a physical pain for us humans, for all the senseless things we have done and keep doing to bring desolation on our beautiful Earth. I have a lot of hope for the future though. Now that a human being has practically reached his full physical potential, I do hope that Brain will catch up soon 😉 Here for a better New Year! xx
I stopped short at the beautiful video, Inese. Wishing you peace and joy this Christmas 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much! I share this video every time I have a chance 🙂
Merry Christmas! ❤
Have the most splendid Christmas, Inese

Inese – here is a clip of mine performing in Chicago, hope you will enjoy the melody!!
A silent night, a star above, a blessed gift of hope and love. A Merry Christmas to you and your whole family.
Thank you for this peaceful and heart-warming music, Mihran! Armenia is so generously gifted with musical talents and with people, beautiful inside and out.
Merry Christmas, Inese! That video kept me charmed till the end. The Nativity lores are of Christ are remarkably close to the meridian of genesis of certain Hindu deities, say Krishna, who was born in captivity and who was sentenced to summary execution even before his birth, but who escaped miraculously. In the latter parts of his life, Krishna’s gospel is more of Grecian stuff than history. Having said that, the martyrdom of Jesus is unparalleled and unmatched by the deified figures known to me. While I may not always subscribe to the miracles offered by the scriptures, it is difficult to scrape off the layers of paint that nurture has bestowed upon me. With so much of science, we are still hunting for the God particle. And with so much light, we still can’t wrap our brain around Dark Matter. Sometimes when I am praying, my mind wanders off to worldly distractions. Perhaps it is because I am not sure whom I am trying to propitiate —we have many deities having their uniquely exclusive auras— and then I try and focus on that unknown source of power and solace, the God Particle, the Dark Matter, and the reason we are here.
I remember reading somewhere that those who believe are likely to last twenty percent longer than those who don’t, and it is not because of that I pray. In his younger years, my late father was drawn to cathedrals and churches like a fly to a field of flowers, and it was a constant source of bickering between my parents. He did confide in me that he finds a rare tranquility in those places and it leaves him stronger. I tried those places too and realised I was quite the chip of the old block. Once, when my twins were ill for a long stretch of time, my old Christian friend prayed for them at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount; he asked me to take them there too. It was towards the end of our stay in Mumbai when we went there and it has become a lasting memory.
I read the other article too. It is nothing short of criminal to bleed our planet like that. Our sins will visit our offspring with devastation and doom.
PS: Please ignore Typo / Autocorrect / Sloppiness errors induced by the narrow comment box window:
Nativity lores
areof Christ are…unmatched by any of the deified figures…
Oh Autocorrect, who invented thee? 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment! Believers are seldom bitter, it is why they live longer, I think 🙂 Since we know so little about God, doesn’t it make sense to respect each religion, and partake of the knowledge accumulated over the history of humanity – the only knowledge available to us. All the analogies are the proof of a single source. As to the particles – the science doesn’t know yet what ‘quickens’ these particles 🙂
When I was young, the concept of eternity scared me. Thoughts about the absence of the beginning and the end scared me. As I am getting older, I just think – everything will be all right, everything is taken care of 🙂
Sadly, I agree with you about the criminal nature of consumption, and the master mind behind this crime is greed and desire to make money now, forget tomorrow.
Wonderful … thank you for sharing something so Special!
Thank you John, hope you can watch the video. Have a peaceful Christmas, and make plans for a happy and fulfilling 2018. You have so much to do ❤

Very thought provoking article and so true. We have been doing this for years. Beautiful video
The article is so good that I am going to reblog on mine as well.
I have kept the link for a year, there is an easy button for sharing on WordPress.
Thank you Happy Holidays.
Thank you!
You’re welcome
Thank you Joseph. Written 6 years ago, and it seems no one has read it 😦 It is a crime what we are doing to this beautiful Earth.
Yes it is but I have confidence that humanity will turn this around at some point and one can hope not too late in doing so.
I have read that we have reached the limits of our physical potential. It is about a time for our brain to start catching up.
Yes I agree as the soul is all knowing and the brain the recorder part of consciousness as well
True.
