Splash of colour

beach

This picture is where I want to be right now. Instead, I am down with flu, and it is the first day since Tuesday that I feel well enough to switch on my computer, but still not well enough to do any work. I will share my almost forgotten project, and go back to bed.

From my previous post I get that none of you was ever afraid of the concept of eternity and the everlasting Universe. It surprises me, because the Cosmos felt like a scary place I didn’t want to think much about when I was very young. There was another thing that bothered me at that age. I only dreamed in colour, but my parents and friends dreamed in black & white.

I will share some city scenes where a splash of colour is added to the black and white images. It is what we do need sometimes.

  1. Magic photos Inese but I’m really sorry to hear you’re not well. I hope you’re up and about and feeling chipper again soon.
    xxx Gigantic Hugs xxx

    1. David, I went to the post office and there was that sick woman, absolutely wrecked with cold. It was at 11 am, Tuesday. At 2pm, miles from home, I started feeling funny, my throat started getting sore. When I got home at about 5pm, I was a wreck, and so far I am slowly getting worse every day, coughing and sneezing my guts out 😦 Stay away from symptomatic people! Many hugs!xxxxxx

  2. Lovely pictures. I love black and whites with a splash of color. The one with the red bike is my favorite but I like them all. Feel better soon

    1. Thank you so much, Lisa! I was not able to do any computer work, so I just used my old project – different ways to bring the color back in Photoshop 😉 This flu is wicked bad, stay away from sick people! xx

    1. Thank you so much! It is all I could come up with in the poor state I am now 😦 Hope to get well by the end of the week, I really do.

    1. Thank you Jean! I have this set of pictures as an example of different techniques to bring the color back. Thought I might use the pictures in this time of need – I am not able to do anything these days as the flu progresses. Horrible waste of time! Had so much to do these two weeks. Dang flu!

      1. Dang flu indeed! All three kids are starting to come down with some sort of pesky sinus infection nonsense, so I’m just waiting for all three to be hit harder with something else. Time to stock up on buckets and meds… 😦

        1. Oh no! Kiwis, lemons, honey and plenty of water might help.
I heard my neighbor from upstairs apartment sneeze all night. Looks like she has got the same thing as I have.

    1. Thank you so much! I have been to some places around Waterford, Kilkenny and Laois, but I have no energy to process the pictures and do research. Sleeping and coughing is all I do 😦

    1. Thank you! This set is just an example of different techniques, but I though I could use them this time :). Have no energy to do any work these days, coughing makes me exhausted.

    1. Thank you! I think it was a road worker, he was flirting with a young photographer, my companion 🙂 I used these pictures out of despair because I am not able to do any work these days.

      1. It was a nice shot! I am kind of in the same spot. I am thinking of going back and posting things from our India trip, two years ago! I get a few shots in these days. tc

          1. I will also try to get a trip review together for you. It is the kind of trip that can be a disaster or “trip of a lifetime” depending on what you know ahead of time.

  3. I really love this inese
    What a beautiful idea
So sorry your down with the flu
But maybe it was time for you to rest
My body is doing the same thing rite now

    1. Oh Sheldon, the spring time is high risk 😦 I was in contact with a symptomatic person for just a minute, and after three hours my own flu had set in 😦

  4. Dear Inese, I’m so sorry you are unwell. 😦 Don’t even think about replying tonight. Get all the rest and sleep you can.
I was intrigued by what you said about your family dreaming BW and you in color. I’ve heard many (maybe most?) people dream in BW. As a very small child, before my family had a color TV, sometimes I would dream in BW (but color as well), but never after we got a color TV. I’ve only had a couple of BW dreams and they were meant to be antique newsreel footage. (Yes, I have bizarre dreams! 😀 )
I love your colorful floating umbrellas. Take good care of you. Feel fabulous fast. Mega hugs my friend.

    1. Thank you so much, Teagan! I have read that indeed it is somehow related to the color TV, and these days about 88% of population dream in color. I had colorful dreams way before we got a color TV, and I think it was because of me being alone in the woods for hours every day and paying attention to every little thing. When I was in primary I read in my mother’s book that color dreams indicate mental illness. It upset me and I started asking people and did learn that they had b&w dreams! So that means that before the color TV most of people did dream b&w and now most of people dream color. Many hugs!!!xxxxxx
