Splash of colour

beach

This picture is where I want to be right now. Instead, I am down with flu, and it is the first day since Tuesday that I feel well enough to switch on my computer, but still not well enough to do any work. I will share my almost forgotten project, and go back to bed.

From my previous post I get that none of you was ever afraid of the concept of eternity and the everlasting Universe. It surprises me, because the Cosmos felt like a scary place I didn’t want to think much about when I was very young. There was another thing that bothered me at that age. I only dreamed in colour, but my parents and friends dreamed in black & white.

I will share some city scenes where a splash of colour is added to the black and white images. It is what we do need sometimes.

Hope you are all well. Now I am taking my medicine and going back to bed.

Sweet dreams, all in colour 🙂

  1. What a difference a splash of colour makes to our lives and how dreary life would be in never-ending black and white. Love what you did to the b/w images. Black and white has its place in many scenes, but sometimes colour is the extra ingredient needed to set things abuzz. But right now, you need to get to bed and sleep off your flu. I hope your dreams are pleasant and colourful, too.

    1. Thank you so much for your comments, Millie. Recovering colors in a black&white image is fun 🙂
I am on holidays in a different time zone – it is a beautiful evening here, and we were jumping on trampoline and laughing, which is the cure for any illness 🙂

    1. Thank you Marje! I am still very weak, and only do computer works. It was a very bad virus 😦 A whole six days I couldn’t lift my head from my pillow.

  2. Your exciting black and white photos with splashes of color are amazing! O like how you created special highlights in color.
My Dad opened our eyes and literally our horizons, when we were kids.
He would bring home reels of movies of planets from his work at NASA, Inese. I am sure we were excited but probably our eyes glazed over, too. My Dad was so smart but didn’t become down to earth until retiring. 🙂
The umbrellas reminded me of an upcoming post from a Columbus, Ohio conservatory. There were many in one of the 2nd floor rooms. They send a message to me, even when it rains you will have moments of joy and clarity. Have a great rest of the week!

  3. Clever idea for a post! I hope you are feeling better – the flu can knock the creativity out of you but I think you are retaining it very nicely!
