In this blog I only want to add some more pictures from The National Reptile Zoo
Here are three monochrome images just to show the beautiful texture of reptile skin.
Unfortunately I won’t be online most of this week. Happy St Patrick’s Day next Friday! 😉
Have a wonderful weekend!
Such magnificent creatures, Inese, and the detail on the b/w images is wonderful. Although reptiles repulse many people (and I’d have to be considerably persuaded to handle a snake myself) they are fascinating animals and a great reminder of our past and the world the dinosaurs. As you say, these creatures are timeless.
Thank you, Millie! I was very surprised to learn that a tarantula can live ten years and longer. I didn’t dare to touch Rosie, but the python was all right – I have already handled snakes before. Not the venomous ones though 🙂 A friend of mine discovered a whole family of snakes under her fire wood, and was terrified. I quickly picked them up, both hands full of shakes, and run with them to the forest, just behind the fence. It was early spring, they were not wriggling. I held them by their tails 🙂
The three images in monochrome are sensational, it is impressive to observe the textures … they are really small dinosaurs… beautiful.
Congratulations!!
Yes, they were so beautiful, I thought that monochrome would fit well for them 🙂 Thank you Belen! ❤
The last photo has impressed me, I had very little contact with the reptiles, the different textures of the body perfectly aligned … circles with circles, squares with squares, nature always so perfect, it is very inspiring.
Thank you for sharing it.
You are an artist, and you see the art in everything. Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful!! Which one is your pet!!??
I don’t have pets, unfortunately.
Fabulous photos Inese, I love the monochromes, it really does highlight the texture. Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🙂
Thank you so much, Andrea! Happy St Patrick’s Day to you too! xx
Those alligators are my neighbors in Florida. Lovely images and the black and white are especially striking!
Oh they are dangerous neighbors I guess. Thank you for stopping by!
