  1. Such magnificent creatures, Inese, and the detail on the b/w images is wonderful. Although reptiles repulse many people (and I’d have to be considerably persuaded to handle a snake myself) they are fascinating animals and a great reminder of our past and the world the dinosaurs. As you say, these creatures are timeless.

    1. Thank you, Millie! I was very surprised to learn that a tarantula can live ten years and longer. I didn’t dare to touch Rosie, but the python was all right – I have already handled snakes before. Not the venomous ones though 🙂 A friend of mine discovered a whole family of snakes under her fire wood, and was terrified. I quickly picked them up, both hands full of shakes, and run with them to the forest, just behind the fence. It was early spring, they were not wriggling. I held them by their tails 🙂

  2. The three images in monochrome are sensational, it is impressive to observe the textures … they are really small dinosaurs… beautiful.
    Congratulations!!

      1. The last photo has impressed me, I had very little contact with the reptiles, the different textures of the body perfectly aligned … circles with circles, squares with squares, nature always so perfect, it is very inspiring.
        Thank you for sharing it.
